Parent's Corner
As teachers and caregivers, our goal is to achieve a sense of continuity between home and Center. We believe it is important for children to maintain a familiar and comfortable routine. Through parent/teacher communication, we individualize each child's care and learning opportunities.

As a family oriented Child Care Center, we assure a quality "home away from home" by providing an atmosphere where children are comfortable and parents are always welcome. We believe in helping children develop a positive self-image, sense of independence, and self-discipline through developmentally appropriate activities.

Each individual child's needs are of utmost importance. We share with the parents the belief that each child is a precious gift.

One of the most amazing things in the world is witnessing the development of a child: from a tiny, helpless infant to a child who can think, reason and deal with complex tasks at school and during play.
If this is your first time, you might be uncertain of what you can expect at different ages. Developmental milestones provide a baseline for comparison.

A child's development can be influenced by several factors, including nutrition, their state at the time of examination, and culture. Children of different cultures may develop certain skills at different ages, but most humans develop these skills at some or other stage. Also remember that, until a certain age, premature infants generally reach milestones later than others of the same birth age.
All children are different and develop at different rates. So if your child does not do all the things in this topic, it may be because your child is working on some different area of his learning and development at present.

However, if your child is very different from other children, if you are worried about your child's development or if it seems to go backwards, you should seek the advice of a health professional. If there is anything wrong, getting in early will help. Otherwise it is good to have reassurance that your children are developing normally in their own unique way and to remember that what matters is to support them on moving forward from where they are now.

Developmental Stages

We know you're dying to know: Is your child on track? Ahead of the curve? A budding genius? Educate yourself about physical, emotional and cognitive development between the ages of birth and five.

Every child is unique in his or her own way. Yet, there are certain similarities that children share with each other. With the help of many experts in the field, we have put together a collection of "Growth Milestones." This information is arranged in a sequence similar to a schedule of well-child examinations.

This information is not meant to take the place of discussions and consultations with your child’s doctor. Instead, we hope you will use them to gain a better understanding of your child’s growth and development.
